Opal studs with a little extra: each stone sits in a wide white gold frame dotted with diamonds, in blue with pink, red and gold-green.
A pair of free-form doublet opal studs, each in a wide white gold frame set with small diamonds, bezel-set in 10K white gold. The diamonds total 0.048ct.
About doublet opal. A doublet is a slice of natural opal bonded to a dark backing. The dark base sits behind the colour bar the way it does in a black opal, so the play-of-colour shows at its strongest, at a fraction of the price of a solid black opal. The opal you see is real opal, and because no two are ever the same, each earring in a pair is chosen to complement the other rather than copy it.
